If you know me at all you’ll know I have an absolute affinity for home decor. If I wasn’t a graphic designer, I probably would have gone to school for interior design because I am THAT OBSESSED. I am one of those people who will take years to find the right piece and once I do, I’ll keep it FOREVER. Ok, maybe not forever, but I am not one of those people who changes her house through the seasons. I prefer to find classic pieces and mix the old with the new. I would like to say I am a cross between Restoration Hardware meets Magnolia.
I wanted to share with you some of my favorite rooms in my home. The main areas are rather neutral with minimal pops of color. When it comes to the girls rooms I wanted them to have a really cheerful and happy landscape to create in. My 8 year old is REALLY into art and has been drawing for as long as I can remember. My 5 year old is learning how to read, and I wanted to make sure she has a comfortable spot where she would WANT to read. Fingers crossed!
I live in Winter Garden, Florida and we have some amazing local shops that I can’t live without for unique pieces! One of them is Adjectives Market and the other is Driftwood Market. You can find both in downtown Winter Garden on Plant street!
I am truly a homebody and spend so much time working from my home office, I really wanted to foster the feeling of a comfortable and organized place I can work and at the same time have a sense of calm. I would love to hear from you about the favorite spots in your house! You can find some of mine here! What projects will you be working on this weekend? I think I’m gonna tackle some outdoor gardening… and I’ll do my best because I certainly DON’T have a green thumb!
